With over 10,000 global members, INFORMS is the largest association for decision and data science professionals. Like many scientific societies, INFORMS has complex needs for its meetings and turned to Results Direct | RD Mobile to deliver solutions for nearly 5,000 sessions and posters, abstracts with multiple authors, and nested sessions.
What RD Mobile Delivered
RD Mobile launched a conference and event app for INFORMS on the Engagefully EVENTS platform. Immediately, INFORMS realized significant savings over the costly custom-developed technology it had been using. The INFORMS app retired a 1,500 page printed conference program in favor of a single mobile experience, unified QR codes for check-in and networking, and embedded practical information (menus, accessibility, translations) to raise attendee satisfaction and self-service.
The app cut costs and complexity and trained members to look to the app as the “control center” for the Annual Conference and beyond. Exhibitors successfully use lead scanning at events, and INFORMS has grown the app to add year-round features including single sign-on for communities.
